Ultrasonic sensors are mainly used to measure the distance, depth or height of an object. The two objects like the microphone in the sensor are called transducers. The sensor’s transducer acts as a microphone to receive and send ultrasonic sound. Ultrasonic sensors send sound waves at a frequency above the range of human hearing. The sensor determines the distance to the target by measuring the time lapse between sending and receiving the ultrasonic pulse.
